
NASRDA SAYS SPACE TECHNOLOGY CAN EARN 50 BILLION DOLLARS ANNUALLY

The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASDRA) has said that the agency can generate as much as $50 billion annually through space technology and innovation, artificial intelligence,, and robotics.
This was disclosed by the Director-general of the space centre, Dr. Matthew Adepoju following a new partnership formed with the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
The collaboration was sealed yesterday, January 30th, 2024, with the launching of the implementation of a presidential initiative on revenue optimization and digitalization via space technology at RMAFC’s head office in Abuja.
RMAFC chairman Dr. Muhammed Bello Shehu reaffirmed the commission’s commitment to modernizing Nigeria’s revenue generation in collaboration with the NASDRA and other key stakeholders.
Dr Shehu emphasized that innovation, creativity, and collaboration are essential in driving economic growth and progress, stating that the traditional sources and methods of revenue generation are not sufficient to meet the evolving needs of the country.
