Poise Nigeria and British Council Launch APTIS
Poise Nigeria, in collaboration with the British Council, has introduced the APTIS Assessment System in Nigeria, a tool designed to enhance business communication and workplace English proficiency.

Speaking at the launch, Mavi Isibor, Founder and Executive Vice Chairperson of Poise Nigeria, emphasized the critical role of effective communication in business success. Citing statistics from the Harvard Business Review, she noted that poor communication costs large companies millions annually.
APTIS, developed by the British Council, assesses English proficiency across all levels, allowing businesses to evaluate and improve their employees’ communication skills. Isibor described it as a “game-changer”, providing a structured path for professionals to enhance their skills and unlock new career opportunities.
Deep Adhikari, Director of Examinations for the British Council in Nigeria, reaffirmed APTIS as a valuable tool for businesses, promoting professional growth and better economic opportunities.
In his closing remarks, Temitope Oluwaseyi, Managing Director of Poise Nigeria, urged Nigerian companies to integrate APTIS into employee training programs, highlighting the importance of communication skills in a competitive global market.
