Trump Reveals Plans to Speak to China About Tiktok
President Donald Trump has expressed, in a statement, that he plans to speak to China about TikTok.

According to him, there are lots of people interested in the social media platform, and he wishes to keep it alive by selling it to somebody who’s going to do a great job with it.
Following his inauguration in January, the president issued an executive order to extend the period before the app was set to be banned to make a deal.
Trump says he would like “the United States to have a 50% ownership position in a joint venture.”
“By doing this,” he stated, “we save TikTok, keep it in good hands, and allow it to [stay] up. Without U.S. approval, there is no TikTok. With our approval, it is worth hundreds of billions of dollars, maybe trillions.”
The President added that he initially thought of a joint venture between the current owners and/or new owners whereby the U.S. gets 50% ownership in a joint venture set up between the U.S. and whichever purchase is explored.
